Title: Panel — Avoiding Disaster: Planning for Laminate Electrical Properties as a Function of Temperature

Event Type: DesignCon - Panel Discussion

Pass Type: All Pass Types

Description

Most laminate datasheet values for Dk and Df are published at room temperature (e.g., 20°C).  But hardware often operates at 80°C or higher, and laminate electrical properties are different at these higher temperatures.  How much variation should be expected and what should OEM designers of high-speed systems designers do to accommodate these variations in pre-prototype signal-integrity simulations?
